About Sunflow Mission Critical

  • Sunflow Mission Critical (SFMC) is an international engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm that delivers mission-critical infrastructure in frontier and emerging markets. We build data centers, subsea cable landing stations, government and defense facilities, healthcare infrastructure, advanced manufacturing sites, and energy systems in locations where most contractors either can't operate or won't try.

  • We're direct self-performers, not a firm that bids on projects from a distance. Our teams are embedded in the markets we work in, with offices, crews, supplier relationships, and local networks that in many cases go back decades. That means de-risked supply chains, in-house engineering and BIM capability, and direct execution rather than layers of subcontracting.

  • Our team has delivered projects across 30+ countries, spanning the Americas, Asia, Africa, Europe, and Oceania, with a particular focus on frontier and emerging markets where international EPC delivery discipline is rare.

  • Our leadership brings 200+ years of combined market leadership experience and has delivered $7.5+ billion across our team's project portfolio. Our team combines hyperscale data center experience, US government construction credentials, and international frontier-market execution.

  • Yes. Several members of our leadership team hold top-secret clearances, and we have direct experience delivering classified and high-security government facilities, including work trusted by the US DOS and DOD.

Sunflow Group & Sunflow Energy

  • Sunflow Mission Critical and Sunflow Energy are the two specialized output divisions of the Sunflow Group, operating as one platform. SFMC delivers mission-critical projects such as data centers, cable landing sites, and secure facilities. Sunflow Energy handles independent power generation, transmission, distribution, and microgrids for emerging markets, off-grid sites, and remote terrain.

  • Yes. Because both divisions operate under one platform, clients can work with Sunflow for the generation, transmission, and microgrid systems (Sunflow Energy) alongside the mission-critical facility construction itself (SFMC), rather than coordinating two separate contractors.

Markets We Serve

  • We serve five core markets: Data Centers, Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Energy and Utilities, and Governments and Defense.

  • Yes. As hyperscaler subsea cable networks expand across Africa, Latin America, and the Indo-Pacific, cable landing stations follow the cables, and data centers follow the landing stations. SFMC builds the facilities that make that sequence possible, serving as a direct contractor to hyperscalers, cable landing station manufacturers, and international data center developers.

  • Yes. We're trusted by the US Departments of State and Defense and bring deep experience in solar and battery microgrid systems engineered to the security and resilience standards required by high-security government facilities, including US Embassy construction programs.

  • Our government portfolio alone includes 9 MW of embassy solar capacity and 34 MWh of battery capacity. More broadly, across the Sunflow platform, we design and build generation, transmission, distribution, and microgrid systems for off-grid sites, remote terrain, and underserved grids.

Working With Us

  • We work with financiers, landowners, government agencies, and operators who need a partner with engineers already on the ground in the markets they're targeting, rather than a contractor bidding in from a distance.

  • Reach out through our Contact Us page. Tell us about your project, market, and timeline, and our team will follow up to discuss how we can help.

  • Frontier and emerging markets are our core focus and differentiator, but our team's experience spans hyperscale data center work and major private developments as well, giving us range across both established and emerging markets.
